 Grand re-opening of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. Five new American citizens swear an oath the United States during a naturalization and re-opening ceremony at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C., USA, 19 November 2008. They are : Jean-Philippe Leon Andre, formerly of France, Ilse Hanna Annemarie Martha Klopotek, formerly of Germany, Sami Kassem Malaeb, formerly of Lebanon, Renzo Portella Merino, formerly of Peru, and Marine Sergeant Kevon Tramaine Williams, formerly of Guyana.
